The commune of Chorges is bathed by the waters of the lake of Serre-Ponçon with a rather uneven relief. There are several monuments to discover here, starting with the listed parish church, the church of Saint-Victor. Porte des Souchons, the only one to have resisted the vicissitudes of time, the Stone of Nero on the square of the church, the remains of the castle of Chorges, the pink marble fountain, but especially the railway viaduct Chanteloube that never saw a train pass and drowned in the waters of the reservoir of Serre-Ponçon. The bridge is totally submerged during the 3 weeks of maximum lake level, but partially passable the rest of the year.
