Saint-Marc-Jaumegarde is a residential village some 15 km from Aix-en-Provence. A place dedicated to Saint Mark since the 10th century, it became the fief of Raymond Béranger V, then the property of great Provencal families. Its wealth was for a long time based on the exploitation of the surrounding forests and in particular the oaks used as firewood by the people of Aix. Today, there is no longer a castle, destroyed in the 16th century, but a commune of different hamlets renowned for their rich and clean environment. It is on the commune that you will also find to walk in the middle of nature between the Bimont dam and the Zola dam.
