Adjacent to the village of Maussane-les-Alpilles, Le Paradou takes its name from the old mills that were once used by the weavers who settled along the Arcoule river, the parador. The village has changed a lot in recent years, and apart from a few good restaurants, a few monuments (Saint-Martin church) and the santon museum, there is little else to see or visit in the midst of the many housing developments that have sprung up. You can still go for a few walks in the area and discover several archaeological sites. It is also possible to settle here and then travel around the region.
