Mimet is the highest village in the Bouches-du-Rhône. Its highest point is 779 meters above sea level. The territory of the municipality is separated by the massif de l'Étoile which offers the village two faces: to the south a view of Marseille and the Mediterranean, and to the north a plain dotted with dwellings meeting along the way the village, which has kept its original character: the main street Saint-Sébastien, entirely paved, is flanked by old houses typically Provencal with colored shutters and a few shops or craftsmen. As you go up to the town hall square, you will discover the charming church overlooking the village.
