An amazing fort built in the Middle Ages with an elegant pinkish appearance and a regulated access closed to the public.

Although its name evokes the neighbouring town of Port-de-Bouc, this amazing historical building is actually located in the town of Martigues. Nestled in the port area of Lavéra, access is regulated and closed to the general public. This fortress built in the Middle Ages is a lookout at the entrance of the Caronte channel. Elegant in appearance and pinkish in colour due to the limestone of which it is composed, this small fort impresses and its elegant turrets are a reminder of its defensive function. It is an amazing and fascinating historical visit that even some locals ignore
