She makes few alterations, leaving the buoy in its original form and drilling small holes in the shape of patterns to diffuse the light. Béatrice doesn't have very technical tools, just a drill and a sander. It's pretty rudimentary, but she's been experimenting for 3 years, and her creations have been a success: she's been spotted by major retailers to decorate shop windows, her lamps are on private beaches, and she was a finalist in the Paris innovation competition.
