Welcome to Jeanne Langlère's aptly named Café Jeanne. In a small, perfectly decorated restaurant, the hostess welcomes you with a smile, unless you prefer the pretty terrace overlooking the pedestrian street. On the menu are a few well-mastered dishes, a deliberately limited choice that the chef concocts to perfection. The spiced meatballs, served with homemade tzatziki and semolina with herbs and eggplant confit, are a real treat. As is the hazelnut and lemon curd tart, meltingly delicious.

Cuisine de saison et faite maison, j’ai savouré un risotto au potimarron très gourmand et copieux, et un dessert assez healthy : yaourt grec, noisettes, amandes effilées, fleur d’oranger et grenade.
Un régal! Si vous êtes dans le centre ville de Marseille, ne passez pas à côté de cette jolie adresse!

Réponse au commentaire du propriétaire : Je ne doute pas de votre engagement. Toutefois, nous avons patienté longuement avant d'avoir une carte et la carafe demandée n'est jamais parvenue. Quant aux sourires et à l'amabilité, ils étaient bien aux abonnés absents le jour de notre venue.
