A cosy Marseille institute with armchairs and warm lights, offering an improved traditional cuisine.

A Marseille institution created in the early 1940s and closed in 2016, Le Caribou recently reopened its doors under the impetus of a young and talented duo of entrepreneurs. Cosy decoration with armchairs and warm lights, elements that refer to the famous Canadian animal. On the plate, traditional dishes such as the fabulous aioli with seasonal vegetables that we tasted, but also contemporary cuisine with a sea bream ceviche or a salmon gravlax. Nice plates to share. Brunch on weekends.

Restaurant très bien situé à proximité du vieux port. Carte des vins garnie tout comme celle des plats. Un peu plus réservée sur le rapport qualité prix même si je pense qu'il reste une excellent option au regard des autres restaurants aux alentours. On paye une petite partie pour la localisation (19 euros la salade césar et 25 le burger). Assiette bien présentée et copieuse. La cuisine est maison mais reste basique. Je recommande néanmoins si vous êtes de passage. Mention spéciale pour la gentillesse et la chaleur des personnels.
