The three beaches of l'Estaque are home to the municipal water sports center, and offer a wide range of seaside activities (sailing, rowing, diving, etc.). These are the Marseille beaches furthest from the city center, where you'll mainly meet locals. On the higher ground, you'll find an area equipped with picnic tables. Many locals also enjoy barbecues in the safety of their own fireplaces. There's also a small snack bar where you can grab a bite to eat or quench your thirst with a cold drink.
