Tourette-Levens is a small authentic town, a place of heritage and art, the birthplace of the blue chairs of Nice, and a must-see on the road to the perched villages. Its emblematic castle was built in the 12th century on a rocky spur that dominated an ancient Roman road, offering a breathtaking panorama between the sea and the mountains. Today, it is a natural history and butterfly museum. The old part of the village, which houses two other museums (of crafts and prehistory), dates from the same period. Further down, the church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption is decorated with beautiful colors to welcome visitors during the summer.
