Things to see and do Tends

Tends, or the largest open-air museum in Europe. Everything here invites to contemplation: the picturesque streets of medieval villages, fountains, washing machines… You don't have enough? Continue until the only remnant of the Lascaris Castle: The view over the Mercantour and the village lauze roofs is amazing. The Tends Territory also includes the Valley of Wonders; the municipality is even, it says, the door. After such a walk, do you not find this name well deserved?

This loop from Tende is a 90 km circuit with a 1,500 m difference in altitude. It crosses Tende, Castérino, the Tende pass, Limone, the Lords pass, Upega, Monesi, Triora and La Brigue. It concerns two municipalities in France (Tende and La Brigue) and 4 in Italy. It can be done on foot, by mountain bike or by 4x4. This walk requires some preparation. Several circuits are possible in 4x4, offering an exceptional panorama. Tuesdays and Thursdays are prohibited for motor vehicles, and a reservation is mandatory for Saturdays and Sundays, the site being limited to 80 vehicles per day and 140 motorcycles or quads.
