Perched between its Baou ("rock" in Provencal) and that of La Gaude, the village unfolds a charming Provencal atmosphere through its sloping streets, its squares and its fountains. The Place Sainte-Barbe offers a grandiose view to the sea. In the center, the terrace known as "Panorama" also offers a striking view of the surrounding countryside and the Baie des Anges. Twenty minutes from the sea and at the foot of the mountains, this town seduces by its quietness and its conviviality. It is the perfect setting to recharge your batteries and an ideal starting point to explore the hinterland of Nice The Baou, which overlooks Saint-Jeannet, is a steep mountain with a flat top. It is 802 meters high and attracts many climbers for its steep cliffs. Walkers can follow a footpath from the center of the village to the summit. The first part is quite steep but the last third of the route is traced on the crest of the Baou. Count on a little more than 2 hours for this family hike without any notable difficulty even if the ascent is quite demanding. At the top, an orientation table allows walkers to see the picturesque roofs of the village below and to enjoy a unique 360-degree panorama: alpine peaks of the Mercantour, the regional natural park of the Préalpes d'Azur and the Esterel, Nice, Cap d'Antibes, the Lérins islands... For the more athletic, another hike of 4 hours allows you to link the Baou de la Gaude and the one of Saint-Jeannet through the valley of Parriau.
