The village of Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage is often considered one of the most charming in the French Alps. At an altitude of 1,500 m, at the confluence of the Sestrière and Gialorgue valleys, Saint-Dalmas has two thirds of its surface area in the Mercantour Park. It is on this territory that we find the highest hamlet of the Alpes-Maritimes department, Bousieyas (1,950 m) and the Bonnette pass, the highest in Europe with its orientation table at 2,859 m. Located at the top of the Tinée valley by the D6202, 100 km from Nice, the village is typically Alpine with its stone facades, its wooden balconies, its widely overhanging roofs.
