Péone is a small village of less than 800 inhabitants located at equal distance from Valberg and Guillaumes. The village is crossed by the Tuébi. It has a medieval mountain architecture typical of the region, with high half-timbered houses with wrought iron balconies, vaulted passages, old staircases and the inevitable sundials as decoration on the facades. Its church dates from the 18th century. Its tiny streets will lead you to the foot of the Pénitents, magnificent ruiniform reliefs of cargneule sculpted by erosion overhanging the village, and which can easily be admired from the road to Valberg
