Move smart with Lignes d'Azur
The Lignes d'azur network provides connections throughout the country by bus and tram. Do not forget to validate your ticket while getting on the bus or tram. If you have a card Lignes d'azur, you can recharge it in the Lignes d'azur agencies or by Internet on www.lignesdazur.com: it is then necessary to create an account before selecting the pack of your choice. After 48hours, your card is reloaded automatically on your next validation on the network.
Strongly recommended for your north-south travels in Nice: you will not only avoid the traffic jams but also trying to find a parking space. The tram line connects Nice from the north to the east via downtown. It works every day except on May 1st and has the following itinerary: Henri Sappia, Comte of Falicon, Le Ray, Gorbella, Valrose Université, Borriglione, Libération, Gare Thiers, Jean-Médecin, Masséna, Opéra Vieille Ville, Cathédrale Vieille Ville, Garibaldi, Acropolis, Palais des Expositions, Vauban, Saint-Jean-d'Angély Université, Saint-Roch, Virgile-Barel, Saint-Charles, Pont Michel et Hôpital Pasteur. For the schedule, the first departures are early the morning until late in the evening from each terminus. Count approximately 4 minutes between two trams during the day and 15 minutes on average during the off-peak hours.
Park and ride Parcazur
Since the start date of the tram, drivers have parkings at their disposal: the Parcazur park and ride. You enter freely with your car , park there the time you want without exceeding the day. You can easily reach the city centre by bus or tram at a very attractive rate with your subscription or transport ticket. Access to the parc and ride parks is reserved for the customers of the urban lines or holders of a multimodal subscription Carte Azur. To leave the parks, you must be in possession of a validated ticket of the very same day on an urban line which must correspond at least to a round-trip. The title solo 1 travel and the ticket Azur do not allow the exit of the vehicle. Parking is limited for a day. Vauban: opened from 5am to 1.50am; Henri Sappia: connected to the highway A8 outing n° 54. Open from 4am to 2.30am. Pont-Michel: connected to highway A8 n° 55. Open from 4.55am to 1.45am; Palais des Expositions: Level 3 of the public parking Acropolis Jean Bouin. Open from 4.15am to 2.15am.
How to buy tickets
For the bus, you can buy your ticket directly from the driver. It is recommended to have the exact change. Be careful: the tram drivers do not sell tickets and there is no ticket sale on board: It is therfore necessary to buy your transport ticket at the vending machines on the platform of each tramway staion, or in the machines of the Parc and ride parks, or by the commercial agencies of Lignes d'Azur. The new app NFC Nice Ticket allows you to buy and validate your ticket directly with your smartphone (more information on www.lignesdzur.com).
