Opening on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 6:30 pm

The Narcissio is pleased to welcome the very first artistic collaboration
between Quentin Spohn and his twin brother Matthieu Spohn.
The exhibition Tracts, salvos, flames between gall and earth was born from a process of reflection
in the context of the 2016 American elections and the rise of populist movements.
and the rise of populist movements in recent years.
Heavily inspired by James Ensor's "Christ's Entry into Brussels,
the Spohn brothers have updated it and transposed it into volume, like the terracotta
of the terracotta army1. Made in a spirit close to satirical art,
like that of Honoré Daumier or Grandville,
as well as certain cartoonists such as Crumb, the crowd
of grotesque characters, initially centred around the figure of Trump,
has evolved over time and in the light of current events, to focus on the issue of
the resurgence of reactionary ideas around the world.

This monumental installation includes more than 1,700 pieces (ceramics and drawings).
