On the borders of Cannes and Grasse, Mouans-Sartoux was created in 1858 by Napoleon III. In the 18th century, silkworm breeding was very developed here. The "magnanerie" which belonged to the Lord of Mouans operated until the 1940s. Perfume plants (jasmine and rose of May) were also grown there, and some fields of flowers remain today. Today, the old castle and its magnificent park are home to a contemporary art space and the business park has brought in many companies. Dynamic and attractive, Mouans-Sartoux offers visitors an opportunity to discover a rich cultural and economic heritage.
