The Tinée, an alpine river, runs for nearly 75 km from the high peaks (Mount Ténibre exceeds 3,000 m) towards the Var (the river). The Tinée also designates the valley formed by the waters between the mountains. Mountains on which man has built superb villages full of charm and the main winter sports resorts of the Alpes-Maritimes: Auron and Isola 2000. The latter, created a little over forty years ago, is one of the most pleasant resorts in France. Its 120 km of slopes and an altitude of 1800 to 2610 m, give it an exceptional snow cover and a Mediterranean sun of Nice (1h30 from the airport)
