About ten kilometers from Menton and Sospel, the village of Castillon perched at 706 m and whose name means "little castle" has been rebuilt several times in the course of its history, suffering wars and natural disasters.Its last reconstruction dates back to 1951, it was then enlarged in 1988 to take its current appearance. A blend of stone and modern materials, the Village of Castillon is an architectural success, which earned it the title of the most beautiful village in France in 1952. Its numerous workshops, craftsmen and galleries give it an undeniable charm today.
