Built in 1880 by architect Louis Hourlier, his acoustics consists of a stone podium and a conical cover on metal frame supported by a set of cast pillars inclined outward was designed to enable sound to move up to the roof before getting to the audience. The place, listed as a historical monument since 1990 is still in use.
