From the Bellevue square to the heart of the village, there is a labyrinth of narrow streets that hide treasures: high houses, old pontis, Saint-Laurent church, Sainte-Croix chapel, vestiges of the medieval castle, ramparts and courtyard of honor, old communal oven. The parish of Berre dates back to the 10th century and the baroque style church was built around 1368, on the site of a primitive chapel according to the will of Violante Galéan, wife of the baron Gaspard de Berre. At the entrance of the village, the chapel of Notre-Dame-des-Anges was restored in 1996 by the Ukrainian painter Alexandre Dubovik with frescoes in warm tones inspired by the Annunciation.
