Grouped in a concentric pattern on the mountainside, the stairs are steep to reach the heart of the village with its high, tightly packed houses, most of which have a Piedmontese Alpine character and are sometimes linked by a covered passageway. During your visit, don't miss the curious 17th century parish church, Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, with its tuff stone bell tower topped by a lantern, as well as the four restored chapels: le Planet, Saint-Grat, Saint-Blaise and Saint-Antoine. Barns and "vacheries" in the mountains. Numerous hiking trails, especially to the Gordolasque (gateway to the Valley of Wonders).
