The town of Beausoleil, which borders the Principality of Monaco, overlooks this part of the French Riviera. With an altitude of up to 560 meters, Beausoleil offers a panoramic view of Italy and Monaco. The town has close ties to Monte Carlo, and was named "Monte-Carlo Supérieur" before it was officially named Beausoleil in 1904.
