The village of Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye is situated at an altitude of 1,470 metres, and the Vars pass marks the border with the Hautes-Alpes. Located at the foot of the Chambeyron massif, it is the highest village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Its municipality occupies 22,000 hectares in the heart of a magnificent and preserved nature, and it is the only one in France to have more than 30 peaks higher than 3,000 meters on its territory. You can practice various outdoor activities: hiking in summer or snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter. Finally, discover a place rich in military history with many fortifications to visit.
