The village of Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye is situated at an altitude of 1,470 metres, and the Vars pass marks the border with the Hautes-Alpes. Located at the foot of the Chambeyron massif, it is the highest village in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Its municipality occupies 22,000 hectares in the heart of a magnificent and preserved nature, and it is the only one in France to have more than 30 peaks higher than 3,000 meters on its territory.
