The Manosque market maintains with panache the tradition of Provencal markets in the heart of town centres and old towns. It takes over various streets and squares in the historic centre: Place du Docteur Joubert, Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, Place Marcel Pagnol, Promenade Aubert-Millot, Esplanade François Mitterrand and Jardin Voghera. It is an explosion of colors, smells and sounds, drowned by an endless stream of pedestrians mixing Manosquins who came to buy supplies and tourists bathing in this typical and friendly atmosphere. Classified as a historical monument, it was destroyed and then rebuilt between the 12th and 14th centuries. The Saint-Sauveur church is in the Provencal Romanesque style, especially its central nave and its basements. The lateral naves have been added to the 16th and 17th centuries, with gothic decorative elements. The church houses an organ of baroque style and the oldest and the most elaborate wrought iron bell tower in Provence (1725).
