The charming little village of La Condamine-Châtelard is a coveted place, which had to be reinforced over the centuries. You can therefore discover the remains of fortifications, and in this respect you should not miss the superb Tournoux fort on the road to Gleizolles. Also worth seeing is the Sainte-Catherine church and the Roche-Lacroix fort, which was one of the local pieces of defence designed by Maginot from 1928 to 1940. Hiking and cycling are of course possible. You can ski a little higher up, to the west, at Sainte-Anne-de-la-Condamine. The festival of Sainte-Anne takes place every year on the last Sunday in July (www.sainte-anne.com).
