Don't let yourself be fooled by this rather funny name for a Provencal village, here you will meet very few Germans during your visit, but rather... germagniens (name given to the inhabitants of the area). It is impossible to pass by the village of Allemagne without admiring its majestic castle, listed as a historical monument. Rustic and romantic, its facades dating from the Renaissance are pierced with mullioned windows decorated with sculpted griffins. The interior (not open to the public) houses exceptional gypseries. Its medieval gardens and its one-hectare park, with century-old trees, are also renowned for their beauty.
