On a 25-hectare vineyard that borders the Saint-Hilaire golf course and Fontevrault Abbey, encroaching on the communes of Epieds and Montsoreau, this terroir of clay-limestone soil on tuffeau chalk produces succulent AOC Saumur wines (Saumur Champigny, Saumur red and white, Cabernet de Saumur, Coteaux de Saumur and Crémant de Loire) matured by Pascal Barillot. In a former mushroom farm, a large troglodytic room welcomes receptions, weddings and other groups for tastings (in moderation!).
