The Cerasus is housed in the Abbot's Dwelling, a neo-medieval building adjoining the famous Abbey of Saint-Savin. Completely renovated, the building is dominated by a crenellated tower built by Léon Edoux to operate his invention: the hydraulic elevator. Le Cérasus offers two elegantly decorated dining rooms. On the plates, traditional gourmet cuisine, with seasonal produce to delight the palate. In fine weather, you can also enjoy the terrace and garden, with its soothing view over the Gartempe River.

Closed from January 1 to February 14. Open Thursday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. Open from 11am to enjoy the terrace. 6pm in the evening for an aperitif. Reservations recommended. Menus from €45 to €68. Children's menu: €23. Lunch menu: €29 (3 courses). Groups welcome (groups and privatization possible Monday to Wednesday). Terrace.

Un bon gastro sans être trop guindé où prône la convivialité et la bienveillance. Je recommande et j'y retournerai.
Une très bonne formule avec un excellent rapport qualité prix pour des plats soignés et fait maison.
L'entrée avec un carpaccio aurait pu paraître banal, mais il se trouve qu'il était excellent, goûteux et relevé.
Les ribs étaient copieux et bon. Le riz au lait avec fruits de la passion étaient excellents et servis dans un original gros récipient en bois.
Un personnel très gentil et efficace.
Seul regret, c'est de ne pas pouvoir profiter de la terrasse car trop chaud et pas de parasol.. ils nous ont expliqué que c'est les monuments historiques qui leur interdisent, sauf en juillet août.
