Romagne is the most important Roman settlement in Poitou-Charentes. This charming township is today known for its Monkey Valley, a unique place in France where gorillas, bonobos and other chimpanzees are raised in a natural and wooded environment. Romagne's heritage also reflects the different periods of history: the old manor house of Champrond, the Millière house and the bridge of the same name crossing the Clain river as well as its mills (the old mill and the mill of La Cueille). Also not to be missed in summer during a family vacation, the plant maze and its many fun activities
