At 7 km from l'Isle-Jourdain, the "little Poitevin Switzerland" stretches through its valleys, its woods and its bocages, offering superb landscapes. In the center of the village, a lime tree, the tree of freedom, was planted in 1975. The parish church is dedicated to Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul and has a crypt with wall paintings dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. In the surroundings, the castle of la Rochère dating from the 15th century and reworked in the 19th century, the manors of la Bourgesse, Pouillac and la Tribosière, mentioned in 1577, the houses of Roche, Bussière and the mill of la Roderie.
