Surrounded by a competent staff of 13, the Vienna federation promotes Hunting in the Department. In this compulsory ACCA department, 280 are hunted out of nearly 370 000 ha. It participates in the development of the game heritage, the protection and management of wild fauna and its habitats, and in this context develops a departmental scheme for game management. It also conducts actions to prevent the damage of large game game and provide compensation when they have committed damage to crops. It participates in technical missions of national and international interest such as the banding or census of migratory species and the management of a health monitoring network. It organises various formations, including those preparing for the theoretical and practical tests of the driving permit, those of the accompanying hunting or arc hunting; it also proposes training for trapping, continuing safety training for members and young hunters.
