The area has undoubtedly been inhabited since prehistoric times, as indicated by a badly damaged dolmen at the Grand Fâ farm. From Gallo-Roman times, a tumulus remains at La Brousse. Saint-Georges church dates back to the 11th century. Inside, you can see a 16th-century tombstone and a beautiful 15th-century recumbent statue. The massacre of August 4, 1944 left its mark on the commune. Traces of the impact can still be seen on the wall, where 40 people died. A monument has been erected in their memory. An interpretive water trail (6 km) has been designed to evoke the many ponds in the commune. Also worth seeing: the viaduct and the Val de Vienne circuit.
