JAZZELLERAULT

Listening to the big names and the newcomers of international jazz. And also blues, swing, world music...
The Jazzellerault festival, created by Patrick Fournier, is more than a quarter of a century old. Every year, it's the hunt for discoveries or the arrival of big names. Previous years have seen the bluesman Melvin Taylor, the San Francisco Jazz collective or the Umlaut Big Band... In short, if you like jazz, blues, swing, latino rhythms and many other world music, you know where to be these nine days of spring: in Châtellerault! All the more so as, in addition to the paying concerts given at the Salle de l'Angelarde, there are a host of free concerts and jazz aperitifs in other communes of Grand Châtellerault (which change every year). The festival sometimes even joins forces with Châtellerault's works councils by offering concerts in the workplace.
