Secondigny is a small county town (approx. 1,800 inhabitants) in the Gâtine heights. Secondigny's soil is ideal for arboriculture and livestock breeding, making it an exceptional terroir. The "Reinette Clochard" apple, named after one of the two rivers that flow through the area, and the "Parthenaise" breed of cattle are sure to delight food lovers. Pedestrian and cycle paths, the Effres lake and the wild state-owned forest: the village and its surrounding area offer an ideal setting for relaxation. The church of Sainte-Eulalie (from the 11th century) and its mural paintings are well worth a visit. About 15 km south-west of Parthenay.
