Saint-Aubin-le-Cloud is an agricultural area stretching along the tortuous banks of the Palais (a tributary of the Thouet) between Parthenay and Secondigny, far from the busy itineraries. This town of about 1,800 inhabitants is a dormitory town, with 80% of its inhabitants working outside the commune. On the agricultural level, 45 farms share the breeding of sheep, goats, but also dairy cows or meat animals, including the famous "Parthenaise". So if you pass by there, you will discover on the church square an elegant 12th century monument. Then, walking along the banks of the Palais (on the hiking trail around the village between the 2 bridges), discover the fortified farms and the castle of Theil (circuit in the east of the village, Le Theil - La Voie Verte). You will be able to enjoy the calm of the Gâtine landscapes, real havens of peace, in the west of the village by the circuit of the mills.
