ROMAN FOUNTAINS OF VENERANDThe fountain of the Roche, the Roman fountain and its mill are to be visited freely. Dating back to the year 20, the Roman fountain is the departure of one of the branches of the old aqueduct, responsible for feeding Saintes into drinking Water. It is possible to distinguish from the entrance from the Moulin du Moulin. Nearby, the shaded and fresh fountain of the Roche was built around 1872 in a former quarry to allow people to wash their clothes. This very green site is built in summer, at the height of the heat.
