Officially named Bureau-les-Bains when the sea bathing craze began in the early 20th century, the booming town changed its name to the more appropriate Saint-Palais-sur-Mer in 1920. At the exit of the Gironde estuary, the town has an intimate link with the ocean and offers travellers a moment of idleness on one of the five beaches. Each one has its own personality! That of the Office dedicated to families, the Grande Côte, the largest stretch of fine sand bordered by the forest. Between the two conches, the Sentier des Douaniers, a path along the coast, has been laid out. This walk allows you to admire the Belle Époque villas.
