Grégory Contanceau's refined cuisine, based on fresh products, in a restaurant in La Rochelle.

This old 18th century estaminet, peacefully installed at the foot of the Chaîne tower, is not only the protector of stone giants, it is also the guardian of gastronomy. Held since 1997 by Grégory Contanceau, the restaurant puts forward a cuisine of the sea rich in flavors. What a pleasure to sit in the room, to settle down comfortably and to enjoy a delightful view of the Old Port. The service is discreet and professional, the menu resolutely turned towards the ocean. The menu "Retour de pêche" (Return of fishing) allows you to enjoy lunch.

Accueil parfait qui nous fait entrer de plein pieds dans ce restaurant emblématique de La Rochelle.
Menu dégustation en six services parfaitement équilibré. Bien accompagné par un verre de vin choisi et approuvé par le sommelier.
Le personnel est à l’écoute et à l’œil à tout.

Mon conseil : Eviter la lumière chaude (jaune) dans une salle à dominante bleue foncée. Ce n'est qu'un infime détail eu égard à la qualité des mets servis par un personnel souriant et attentif.
