Since 1970, in the heart of the Marennes d'Oléron basin, Fonteneau oysters have forged a remarkable reputation. The company offers a range of five oysters whose breeding is entirely under its control: Fine de claire Marennes Oléron oyster, Fine de claire Verte Marennes Oléron oyster (Label Rouge), Pousse en claire Marennes Oléron oyster (Label Rouge) and the Special Fonteneau - La Réserve oyster. The Fonteneau oysters have been awarded 11 gold medals at the Concours généraux Agricole de Paris, guaranteeing their exceptional quality.

Like the other villages on the island, Dolus has a market where you can stock up on fresh produce. It has the advantage of being close to a large parking lot, making parking easy. Under the covered market halls and in the pedestrian streets, you can meet producers and fill your shopping bag at the same time. Don't miss the night market, held every Monday in season. Some 70 stallholders are on hand to delight those who want to stroll, but also enjoy live music and specialities.
