The village can be seen from afar thanks to the famous bell tower of the Saint-Etienne church, which overlooks the vineyards and salt marshes and was once used as a landmark for sailors. The bell tower became two-tone in 1855 with its black tip and is unique in that it has retained its colours. If you look at this strange silhouette for a moment, you will be lost in the alleys leading off from the Place Carnot where there are many restaurants. Further on, you will find the other place of life in the village: the port. You will arrive there during a stroll, after having contemplated the bourgeois houses, you will stop there for a coffee or a meal.
