Segonzac was the first French city to obtain the "Città Slow" label in 2011. This label, created in Italy in 1999 in the tradition of Slow Food, is awarded to cities where life is good according to 70 different criteria (environment, local shops, noise, hospitality, etc.). However, this label still has a long way to go in the minds of its inhabitants, who see it as a lack of dynamism. However, obtaining it has brought the media spotlight on the small town and the town hall seems to be struggling to ensure that the quality of life is not synonymous with a rural desert and displays a kind of quiet dynamism.
