Sare is a French enclave that extends into Spanish Navarre. This is how the Xareta Country was naturally born, between Sare, Urdax and Zugarramurdi in Spain. Cross-border municipality, therefore, it lived by its situation of difficult hours and it owes its nickname Garrazko-Larra which means work of the night, to the important contraband on the sector. With Europe, the activity ceased. Sare is one of the most beautiful villages in France with the first prize of the villages in bloom, an oceanic village, only 8 km away from the Atlantic Ocean, set in a nest of greenery at the foot of the Rhune and the Axuria, which has not stolen its green resort label.
