The Auberge Berriex, just a few minutes from the Grotte de La Verna, has a pleasant garden terrace with round tables, and a rustic dining room with a wooden bar that smacks of the Basque Country. Here, you'll enjoy simple, generous family cooking, famous for its porcini and cheese omelettes, axoa, lamb (locally produced), steaks and duck confit, entrecôtes, faux-filets and equally tasty desserts. The establishment also offers a gîte d'étape.

Waren nur zum Kaffeetrinken da, haben ins draußen hin gesetzt. Zum Bestellen mussten wir reingehen. Kaffee war kalt, Tasse und Löffel schmutzig, nach neuem Löffel gefragt, der war wieder schmutzig, ich wurde schräg angeschaut, als ich das wieder moniert habe. Nun ja, wir sind nur im Urlaub hier und kommen sowieso nicht wieder.
