Now part of the Angoulême agglomeration, Fléac has always been an important passageway. The town is located near an ancient Roman road and on the old Chemin des Anglais, a trade route that once linked Saintes to Angoulême. Later, the railway linked the town to other regional towns, a metric track that Fléac has transformed into a pleasant greenway. You can rent boats and take a river cruise to Cognac. But also admire its castle dating from the 19th century, built by Louis Plauchut, its town hall which houses a pleasant park, or its deanery
