A hill with a cave that is a meeting place adorned with works of cave art engraved over 50 years of excavation.
The immense underground cavity, decorated with drawn or engraved parietal works of art, rich in thousands of carved flints, pierced and engraved bones, reveals successively during the 50 years of excavations, the daily life of our ancestors, the ways of life of the Neanderthal man up to the Magdalenian period. It is understandable that the hill shelters a place of rencontres : its strategic geographical location and the capacity of the Isturitz cave suggest that it would have been for these men a point of convergence of populations.
