The treasure of Hasparren Land! You will only know it if you enter Gaztelu Hill. Where? In the commune of Saint-Martin-d'Arberoue, but closer to that of Isturitz. Why? For two caves, classified by the Historical Monuments. It is the capricious river Arberoue that makes the history of this hilly corner that was once torn between the King of Navarre and the King of England because it served as a strategic location. And to go around this valley, everything is possible, starting from "Balade racontée" with Marie-Luce and Jean-Marc, in July and August, Thursdays departing from the village at 6pm and all year round by appointment, discovering the "Savoir-faire ancestral" and in particular the "Athanor" pottery, and discovering the "Atelier de peinture en décors", with a country storyteller, in July and August, Thursdays from 3pm to 6pm. Finally, by visiting the "Agerria Farm", its dairy sheep farms, its cheeses, its local products... A valley of a rare richness!
