The site is exceptional. Planted on the coastal cliff of Arxilua, overhanging the ocean, this botanical garden which extends over 2.5 ha is entirely dedicated to the knowledge of the natural environments of the Basque coast. It offers its visitors a walk through the coastal landscapes: coastal pine forest, Atlantic oak grove, wetlands, cliffs, maritime moors... Plants, whether rare or common, are grouped together in the environments from which they originate and they are not the only ones, since many exotic collections have adapted to the climatological conditions. Here, you travel in five continents! From dunes to conifers, from cactus rock to food, medicinal or even magical plants, the walk is an enchantment. A maze of botanical families allows you to compare them and appreciate all their scents, managed according to gardening principles based on respect for biodiversity. This outing is perfect for the whole family who will find advice, games, exhibitions, guided tours, educational activities and even gardening workshops...
