LE MÉLIÈS

In Méliès, you can see recent films, French and foreign in original version, in national output, but also repertoire films such as death or feature films in tribute to renowned filmmakers according to different themes. The Méliès is the art and trial cinema of the city, which usually offers different films and inédits in Béarn and more traditional broadcasts, always in VO, with also panel meetings, previews in the presence of the director or an actor. For younger people, cinema offers thematic cups and even "cinema-doudou" sessions for the parents who come accompanied by their baby. Each year, this film organizes the Pau International Film Festival with the inédits and nuggets of seventh art, celebrities, large meetings and local tastings. In addition, throughout the year, thematic weeks are held in connection with current events or events (week of philosophy, lusophonie, German cinema… in partnership with local cultural associations).
