The buildings on General-Foy Avenue are undergoing restructuring. Some barracks become housing, others are allocated to the Regional and Departmental Directorate of Youth and Sports or to the hosting of high-level athletes. If you turn around the island, admire an exemplary architectural success: the transformation of military buildings into a superb house for the reception of dependent elderly people: Les 4 Chênes, rue Lescouvé.

Their days are devoted to contemplation and the search for the divine word. During the Revolution, the place was transformed into a factory, before being destroyed during the Second World War. Today you can still admire the galleries and arcades.

THE HOUSE OF THE DUTHOIT BROTHERS

Site of archaeology crafts and science and technology

This house, built in 1834, saw the company of the Duthoit brothers (Aimé and Louis) evolve, employing about ten people. During this period, orders, both religious and civil, flowed in from all sides. Several architectural elements of the region are due to them such as the portal of the chapel of the Holy Spirit in Rue for example. They have also worked for decades on the statues and ornaments of Amiens Cathedral. One of their collaborators, Viollet-le-Duc, praised them as the "last image makers of the Middle Ages".
